Cattle Valley Township Gazette

Cattle Valley Township Gazette — Winter Edition

Well, it's time to button down the hatches. Winter is here, and as we all know they are never easy in Cattle Valley. I'm sure we'll all lose power at least once, so stock up on candles and batteries. If you're lucky enough to have a loved one, keep them close, shared body heat can be a beautiful thing.

The annual Christmas in the Park will be the Saturday before Christmas at seven. The local high school band and choir will be performing once again this year. Hot chocolate will be served and smiles shared.

The street department, along with the sheriff's department, would like to remind everyone to please refrain from parking on the street during snow showers. Everyone should have their snow tires or chains on their vehicles by December first. If you get stuck in the snow and are without the before mentioned items, you will be ticketed. Let's all work together to make this a safe winter.

My secretary, Carol, wanted me to mention that the church is sponsoring a holiday craft sale at the Christmas celebration this year. All proceeds will go to new holiday decorations for the church and park.

If I don't get a chance to shake your hand before the Holidays, have a safe and happy one.

Holiday Greetings to you and yours!
Cattle Valley Mayor, Quade Madison
